Homemade Dairy Products


Today I spent 10 hours (or more) making some dairy products. I had fun doing it - yet it was frustrating in the beginning when I started making my Yogurt and Whey but worth it in the end.

All of this was created from a quart (4 cups) of whole milk and about 1/3 cup of yogurt total.

I ended up fully straining all the whey off the thick yogurt to create a fresh Ricotta Cheese.
I must say: OMG it is incredible! Turns out it is so darn easy to make - I couldn't believe it!

What a day it's been -- started out failure but in the end "utter" success!
