6th and Final Plasma Donation

A little trouble with plasma donation today but ended so funny!

Today was the 6th and final donation of my plasma for at least 6 months. Everything went very well the first 5 donations but this last donation trouble in the end. Right before the saline solution was given to me, I briefly passed out and was shaking when the doctors swarmed me - then I got very sick (thankfully a paper bag for that was handed to me). They threw ice packs all over me fast and started keeping their eyes on my blood pressure.  I was 97 over something... and they wouldn't not let me leave until I was stable. Once my blood pressure was 112 over (I forget) then I was allowed to head home but with strict instruction written on paper what to do at home. They will reopen on Tuesday and told me to answer my phone for them so they can get an update on my condition.

What was funny: One of the doctors ran over to help me (he saw me very sick) and when I was done he looked at me and said "I'm trying to help get that Exorcist out of you" - I died laughing! I knew what he was meaning and being a fan of horror it was too funny!

They said it was me laughing that helped to raise my blood pressure back up to 'okay' status so I could go home.

I'm just fine: my blood pressure dropped and they told me next time to eat more and close to donation time plus drink lots of water! Nothing they did - this is actually normal side effect of giving plasma sometimes.

All okay - but way too funny of a story not to share! Haha~
