 πŸ˜ˆπŸ”₯

Frightful Friday

Movie Lineup:

  1. Terror in the Wax Museum (1973)
Start with eerie intrigue and creeping dread — wax figures that might just come alive… or worse. Perfect to set the mood without knocking your nerves overboard.

  2. Night of the Hunter (1955)
A chilling, poetic masterpiece — shadows and light dancing in the night, a villain who’s as terrifying as a nightmare whispered by the wind.

  3. The Black Scorpion (1957)
Giant scorpions on the loose! A fun, campy creature feature to keep the adrenaline pumping.

  4. Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957)
You’ve got the claws! Perfect follow-up with radiation-fueled crustacean chaos. Campy, creepy, and irresistibly ‘50s.

Bonus Films: The Innocents (1961),  The Uninvited (1944) & “The Haunting” (1963)

Snack Ideas for Frightful Friday:

  • Stuffed “Eyeballs” (Mozzarella balls with olive “pupils”) — a classic spooky snack that’s surprisingly tasty.

  • Spiced Pumpkin Seeds — for that crunch and a hint of autumn mystery.

  • Blackberry or Cherry “Witch’s Brew” Punch — dark, sweet, and a little wicked

🐊🌿 Swampy Saturday: The Creature Features Backwater Bash

  1. Frogs (1972)
Southern eco-horror kicks things off. Cranky rich people. Judgmental frogs. Nature’s revenge begins!

  2. Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
The iconic Gill-man makes his glorious, swampy entrance. That underwater ballet is still mesmerizing.

  3. Revenge of the Creature (1955)
He’s captured and taken to an aquarium—because humans never learn. The horror ramps up!

  4. The Creature Walks Among Us (1956)
Science messes with nature again, and now our Gill-pal has to suffer in a world he doesn’t belong in. Sad, eerie, and totally underrated

Bonus film: Swamp Thing (1982),  Alligator People (1959), Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959)

Evening Bonus Snack Idea: A frosty lime sherbet float (sweet, green, and gooey—just like swamp water!) and soft cornbread muffins with butter.

🌊 SEASIDE SUNDAY: Sharks, Crabs, & Post-Apocalyptic Dread

Sundays are for sunburns and screaming. This is your day for open water, crashing surf, and monsters that make you afraid to take a bath.

1. Attack of the Crab Monsters (1957)
Start the day with glorious camp! Radiation, giant crustaceans, and a whole lotta claws. Nothing says “brunch on the beach” like sentient crabs.

2. Jaws (1975)
You know it’s not summer until someone yells, “You’re gonna need a bigger boat!” Tension, terror, and that relentless musical score.

3. The Poseidon Adventure (1972)

Head out on your next journey with caution and lots of Hollywood stars! Tension building suspense!

4. On the Beach (1959)
End with something somber. A chillingly calm film that reflects on the end of it all, surrounded by empty beaches and fading hope. It’s peaceful. It’s haunting. It’s unforgettable.

Bonus films: "Creature from the Haunted Sea" (1961),  The Amazing Mr. X (1948), Tormented (1960)

πŸ“Œ Snack Vibe: Fish sticks or crab cakes (or shaped crackers if softer needed), cold Dr. Pepper, Moon Pies, and maybe a little lemon sorbet to cool down the heat of the day.
