Water Guide


Peperomia - 10/14 days
 When totally dry

Polka Dots - 10/14 days
 When dry - may need more water in summer (once a week)

Calathea - 10/14 days
Like it slightly moist
Calatheas (Boromir, Aragorn, Faramir, Saruman) – Very sensitive. Tap water with chlorine or high minerals can cause browning leaf edges or spots. Best to use filtered, distilled, or rainwater.




Dry crowd

  • Lithops

  • Haworthia

  • Bear Paw

  • Donkey Tail

  • String of Pearls

Moderate crowd

  • Peperomias

  • Pothos

Moist crowd

  • Calatheas

  • Polka Dot plants










  • Calatheas curl or tip-brown when thirsty or stressed.

  • Polka Dots droop a little if they need water.

  • Peperomias let you know when soil is dry by slightly softer leaves.
